Learning to read body language signals not only makes you more acutely aware of how others try to dominate and manipulate, it brings the realization that others are also doing the same to us and, more importantly, it teaches us to be more sensitive to other people’s feelings and emotions. Just as a bird-watcher loves watching birds and their behavior, so those acutely attuned to others in their environs delights in watching the non-verbal cues and signals of human beings …anywhere that people interact. He or she is a student of behavior who wants to learn about the emotional state of his fellow humans so that he may ultimately learn more about himself and how he can improve his relationships with others.

For a moment I had a strange intuition that just this, and in a real, profound sense, is life; and perhaps happiness even – love with a mixture of sadness, reverence, and silent knowledge.

A lament is heard as a prelude to the dead hours

Hours that pass with the agony of a slow death

The silence returns to dress my saint in gold

they turn the records that taught me to worship music …

If you came back, I would wear my saint gold

I would shut things up so you could hear my desperate singing

If you came back, I would wear my saint gold

stop the world so you can hear

You are tired,

(I think)

of the always puzzle of living and doing;

and so am I.

But I come with a dream in my eyes tonight,

and knock with a rose at the hopeless gate of your heart—

Open to me! …
