Love allows understanding to dawn, and understanding is precious. Where you are understood, you are at home. Understanding nourishes belonging. When you really feel understood, you feel free to release yourself into the trust and shelter of the other person’s soul.

– John O’Donohue –

Be near me when my light is low,
When the blood creeps, and the nerves prick
And tingle; and the heart is sick,
And all the wheels of Being slow.

Be near me when the sensuous frame
Is rack’d with pangs that conquer trust;
And Time, a maniac scattering dust,
And Life, a fury slinging flame.

Be near me when my faith is dry,
And men the flies of latter spring,
That lay their eggs, and sting and sing
And weave their petty cells and die.

Be near me when I fade away,
To point the term of human strife,
And on the low dark verge of life
The twilight of eternal day.

I want morning and noon and nightfall with you. I want your tears, your smiles, your kisses…the smell of your hair, the taste of your skin, the touch of your breath on my face. I want to see you in the final hour of my life…to lie in your arms as I take my last breath.

Timing is irrelevant when two people are meant for each other. It’s what I once believed.

But we met during a time when I was such a mess, when I still had so much to figure out. How could I have known how crucial every word, every action was or how losing you would be something I would always regret?

If only you could have met me now, how different it would be. How much I have changed. How I have grown. I learned so much from all the mistakes I made with you. I just wish I had made them with someone else.
– Lang Leav – Lullabies

Loving a happy person is easy, you just have to love life and that’s it, everything beats right. The problem is to love unhappiness, to realize that it hurts somewhere and it is not for you to play any role in the midst of this pain, to accept that there are decisions you can not make and moments you can not stop, and to realize that the most you can do is hug. There are so many moments in life when the most you can do is hug. Love is often to understand the dimension of a hug, to tighten who you love and do nothing, to say nothing, to wait for the pain to pass, or for the pain to continue but inside a hug, and to love. There are so many moments in life when the most you can do is hide the pain inside a hug, and love.
